In 18th place is a devilishly adorable mid-century flick.
I fully admit that I love dogs and puppies and 101 Dalmatians is full of dogs and puppies and one horse.
This was one my favs as kid and remains a fav as grumpy grow-up. While the animation is not as refined as previous Disney movies the sketchy aesthetic works for the London mod pop style of the story plus puppies.
In addition to the plethora of puppies the villain is a ton of fun with a diabolical scheme and a great villain song even it’s more about her rather her singing about her wickness.
On this rewatch I appreciated the Colonel, the Captain, & Sergeant Tibbs a lot more than when I was a kid. Sergeant Tibbs is the MVP of this movie.
