I won’t pretend that I keep up with Kingdom Hearts but Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue recently came out and here some cut scenes from the Hunchback world. I’m not sure what 2.8 means, why is it not three? I’m sure there is a reason some weird Kingdom Hearts logic, I mean how can final chapter have a prologue, it’s nonsense, NONSENSE! Whatever Kingdom Hearts logic. Actually Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is a remastered version of Kingdom Hearts; Dream Drop Distance with some new content. This would explain why IMBD listed some of the voices with “voice achieve.”

The voice actors for the Hunchback character are
Ari Ruben as Quasimodo
Corey Burton as Frollo
Renee Faia as Esmeralda
Phil LaMarr as Phoebus
Jason Alexander as Hugo
Charles Kimbrough as Victor
Patricia Lentz as Laverne
and there is no Clopin, Shame game Shame!

I would say that the voices are weird. They did try to get voices with a similar tone and pattern as the originals, so if feels a little off. It’s good voice acting off wise.

You know what is funny? Hayley Joel Osmond voices Sora but he also played Zephyr in the Hunchback sequel. Ergo Sora is Esmeralda’s son! Ok, no not really but that thought pattern was fun for like two seconds.

Let us re-address Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance and discuss Frollo’s voice. Part of the greatness Frollo is Tony Jay’s rich baritone. But who did they get to play Frollo for this game?

The answer is Corey Burton. Burton is veteran voice actor but it is worth mentioning that Burton voiced the Brutish guard in the Disney movie. Which I find slightly amusing.  But Burton doesn’t do a bad job as Frollo is it just different than Jay.

Video of Frollo voiced by Burton.

In Japanese, he is played by Shouzou Sasaki. Sasaki hasn’t lent his voice to much and it seems that this is his biggest role to date.

This trailer starts inside Notre Dame. The song in the tailer is called Sanctuary. It was from the second game and is performed by Hikaru Utada, who has been singing the songs for Kingdom Hearts since the beginning.

This is the music from the Hunchback word (La Cite des Cloches) from the thrid installment of Kingdom Hearts; Dream Drop Distance.

It’s composed by Yoko Shimomura. You can tell that Shimomura took inspiration from Menken’s score especially from Sanctuary but it not a carbon-copy it’s it own thing and sounds epic. In fact the second  piece is called “Le Sanctuaire.” This piece of music makes me want to play the game.

or those of you who don’t know the Kingdom Hearts Franchise is a co-venture with Disney and Square Enix. Square Enix is the owner of The Final Fantasy Franchise, of which I am a fan,  I like Final Fantasy IX the best.
